Official Rules for Regular Tournaments

1. This is a team tournament however an angler may enter alone.

2. Teams must fish from a boat. All waters must be accessible by normal boat propulsion to be legal fishing waters. (If you are not sure if your means are considered normal boat propulsion, ask a tournament director before the tournament.

3. Tournament director may cancel tournament in the event of severe weather. The tournament may be rescheduled or money will be refunded. ( It is the fishermen responsibility to find out about cancellations or rescheduling.

4. Starting place for each tournament will be discussed at the seminar for each tournament. The lake is off limits from midnight til 6 a.m the day of the tournament. The official fishing times will be announced at the seminar. No line may be in the water before the official start time. All teams must quit fishing by the official quit time and must be in the weigh in line no later than one hour after the official quit time. The weigh in line will be opened 2 hours before quitting time. (No fish will be weigh in before this time).

5. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted during the tournament or during weigh-ins. This will be strictly enforced.

6. A total of 8 fish per team may be weighed in . They must be alive at the weigh-in line. If you are in line and have a struggling fish, a tournament director may verify that your fish is alive in line.

7. All fish must be hooked legally in the mouth.

8. All fish must be 9” long, or legal limit, if the lake has a limit greater than 9”. It is the teams responsibility to find out if size limits apply to each lake. If the lake has a 9" or greater limit and you are at the scales and have fish that is less than the lake limit size the team will be disqualified. If you have a fish that is close, you can ask a tournament director check the fish before you get in line.

9. Live and artificial baits may be used.

10. In case of a tie the money will be evenly split. If there is a tie for the final position to qualify for the classic than both reams will qualify.

11. Any protest must be in writing no later than 4 p.m. the day of the tournament. All teams are subject to a polygraph and or voice stress test. If a tam member fails or refuses to take a polygraph and or voice stress test, that team will forfeit any winnings, entry money, membership money, and may not be eligible to fish any other Buckeye Crappie Challenge tournaments. All decisions by tournament director are final.

12. All state and local laws must be obeyed. THIS INCLUDES NO WAKE ZONES.

13. Seminars will be held the day before the tournaments. All teams must have a representative at the seminar unless prior arrangements are made with the tournament director.

14. All teams who fish must check in at the weigh in site to qualify for the show points. Even if you have no fish to weigh in, check in at the weigh in site. This allows the director to know you are safely off of the water.

15. The tournament directors reserve the right to accompany or follow any team during the tournament.

16. Any fish brought in the weigh-in line  measuring less than 9" will result in a 1lb. deduction in that teams weight.
